Role Details Contract Type: Temporary (3 months, with potential to become permanent) Hours: Full-Time (36.5 hours per week) Salary: £35,000 - £44,000 per annum (depending on experience) What You’ll Do Strategic Procurement: Work closely with the Head of Procurement to develop and implement effective procurement strategies aligned with organisational goals. Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, ensuring adherence to university policies and ethical standards. Tender & Contract Oversight: Lead end-to-end procurement processes, including competitive tenders, contract negotiation, and ongoing contract management. Value-for-Money Reporting: Prepare and present reports that demonstrate cost savings, efficiencies, and compliance with procurement regulations. Risk & Compliance: Monitor procurement activities to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies. What We’re Looking For Minimum CIPS Level 3 (or working towards higher levels). Proven track record in contract negotiation and supplier relationship management. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify cost‑saving opportunities. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including experience working with senior leadership teams. Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. A collaborative team player who can also work independently and take initiative. Ready to make a move?
