Position Overview Title: Professor in Accounting & Finance Department: Academic/Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU) Location: Leeds – On site Type of Contract: Full-Time, Permanent (40 hours per week) – (Sponsorship not offered) Salary: £51,000 The Role We are seeking Lecturers to teach across a range of undergraduate levels as part of our BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance programme. Join us as lecturer and make an impact that last a lifetime Responsibilities Include Planning, delivering, and assessing student work, ensuring all learning outcomes are met Developing, updating and improving course materials as appropriate Using a variety of learning and teaching methods/materials Actively engaging in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings and other administrative duties Staying up to date with latest developments in your field and student support practices Working towards clearly defined objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction and progression About You Hold a Master's degree in Accounting and Finance (UK or equivalent) – full membership of PSRB's is required; PhD desirable Previous UK HE lecturing experience delivering core accounting modules such as Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Taxation and Audit or similar Demonstrated extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter Experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback Experience in accurate reporting and maintaining thorough student records Ability to work under pressure, plan and prioritise workload to meet deadlines Excellent communication, interpersonal and team-working skills Ability to work with diverse groups of people Desirable Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification (or commitment to enrol during probation) Fully qualified from PSRB's affiliates/active members such as ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW and/or IFA What We Offer 25 days annual leave plus 8 public holidays 1-day extra leave per year of service up to maximum 5 days Workplace pension scheme Tuition reimbursement for career development courses Flexible Benefits: Cycle to Work, Workplace Nursery, Tech scheme and more Perks@Work discounts platform, wellbeing centre, etc. Reward and recognition programme £500 award employee referral scheme Discretionary annual performance bonus GBS is committed to equality, diversity and inclusion and provides a workplace free from discrimination or harassment.
