Our team focuses on innovation and challenging the current state of our infrastructure technology in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative working environment.What you’ll doActively monitor the Linux team’s incident/request queue, set prioritization, and process tickets in a timely mannerPerform production changes while adhering to change management guidelinesInstall, configure, and troubleshoot Linux servers and related hardware/software componentsPerform in-depth analysis for post impact resolution, RCA, remedial actions, and problem managementManage and troubleshoot AD integrated authentication on Linux serversManage and troubleshoot existing Ansible playbooks used for configuration management across the Linux environmentCollaborate cross-functionally to monitor system performance, analyze system logs, and proactively address issuesCreate and maintain system documentation including configuration guides, standard operating procedures, and troubleshooting stepsWhat’s Required3-5+ years of experience Linux Administration in a production environmentExperience with infrastructure as code concepts (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet or similar)Experience in authentication, privilege management, and integration with Active DirectoryFamiliarity with Ansible for automation and configuration managementHands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration, including installation, configuration, performance tuning, and troubleshootingExperience with creating and maintaining remote mounts (CIFS/samba/NFS) for both client and server configurationsFamiliarity with local disk management as well as network-based storage concepts and related configurations (HBA, PowerPath, LVM, etc.)Experience in scripting languages like Bash or Python for automation and task scriptingUnderstanding of networking concepts, protocols, and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Kerberos, etc.)Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsCommitment to the highest ethical standardsBenefitsHealth care benefitsGenerous parental and family leave policiesMental and physical wellness programsVolunteer opportunitiesSupport for employee-led affinity groups representing women, minorities and the LGBT+ communityTuition assistanceAbout Point72Point72 is a leading global alternative investment firm led by Steven A.
