They work collaboratively with their clients to ensure efficient project delivery and minimum disruptions to operations. They have a flexible and innovative can-do approach which allows them to continually exceed client expectations and this has led to an enviable portfolio of repeat business.The RoleThe Quantity Surveyor will be working closely with the Operational team and will be responsible for the full range of pre to post contract services to maximise commercial success and profitability.Key ResponsibilitiesTake off quantities for tendering purposes and assist in tender preparationsAppointment of subcontractors and labour only subcontractors on designated subcontract conditionsPrepare and manage material procurementOversee measures and report variancesPrepare and settle interim claimsPrepare supporting documentation for the client and their consultantsProduce bill of quantitiesIdentify, measure, and agree variationsCost investigationsPrepare and submit weekly financial report to client and client QSMonthly cost/value reconciliationsMonitor cash collectionManage several projects at different stages at any one timeProvide accounts department with monthly cost/valuation information for costing purposes and quarterly for management accounts within the required time scalesAdvice to management on contractual mattersMeasurement and agreement of Project Final AccountsEnsure records and paperwork are accurate and up to dateThe Ideal PersonDegree qualified or other relevant qualificationsRelevant experience in a similar position within the fit out / refurbishment sectorsExperience of working in a fast-paced environmentExcellent IT skills especially Microsoft Office and ExcelProven ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) to build relationships with colleagues, customers, and other stakeholdersStrong Commercial Awareness and negotiation skillsExperience in managing and dealing with contractual issues on standard forms of contract i.e. JCT form of ContractStrong knowledge of contract documents, construction practices and techniquesExcellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detailAbility to work effectively both alone and in a team environmentA proactive and flexible working approach with the ability to adapt to changing situations and dutiesFor further information on this vacancy, or any other Built Environment job in Belfast or wider Northern Ireland, please apply via the link below or contact Robert Apps for a confidential discussion #J-18808-Ljbffr
