Gi Group West Midlands, England, United Kingdom Engineer Shift Leader Location: StaffordSalary: Circa £55,000Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off, 12‑hour shifts (rotating days and nights to support a 24/7 operation) We’re looking for an experienced engineering professional with a passion for leadership and innovation to join our dynamic team at our Stafford site. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop a team of Engineering Technicians and Assistants. Manage and execute the Pre‑Planned Maintenance (PPM) schedule. Oversee spare parts inventory and procurement. Maintain and optimise the Fix System for issue resolution. Design, develop, and deploy engineering solutions. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company standards. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver projects. Drive continuous improvement and system performance enhancements. What We’re Looking For Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Civil, or similar). 7+ years of engineering experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role. Strong problem‑solving and project management skills. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Proficiency in engineering tools and methodologies. Desirable Experience in retail or fulfilment environments. Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies. Familiarity with system architecture and scalability.
