Carpentry Lecturer

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Carpentry Lecturer to join our Construction team on a temporary basis. In this role, you will deliver engaging, high-quality teaching and practical training to learners across a range of carpentry courses. You will support students in developing industry-relevant skills, ensure a positive learning environment, and contribute to the continued success of the department. The temporary post offers flexibility and the potential to transition into a permanent position, depending on both candidate preference and departmental needs. Key Responsibilities: Deliver practical and theoretical carpentry lessons to learners of varying abilities. Prepare lesson plans, materials, and assessments in line with curriculum requirements. Provide guidance, feedback, and support to help learners achieve their qualifications. Maintain workshop safety standards and ensure appropriate use of tools and equipment. Contribute to curriculum development and team planning where required. Engage with college policies, quality processes, and safeguarding expectations. Requirements: Industry experience in carpentry or joinery (essential). Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one (support may be available).
