Assistant Youth Support Worker – Early Help Targeted Youth Support – Wyre (Part Time) Location: Wyre, Lancashire Employment: Part time – 6 hours per week (evening, 6:30–9:30pm) Salary: £24,786 – £25,155 per annum (pro‑rata) / JNC 5‑6 Unqualified or JNC 7‑10 Qualified Responsibilities Deliver youth work opportunities in centres, partner buildings and in the community, including street‑based work. Work closely with a youth support worker or professional range youth worker, volunteers and other staff to maximise access to social, personal development and learning opportunities. Initiate and develop relationships with 12‑19 year olds (up to 25 year olds where applicable) and work with targeted young people to broaden horizons and involve them in positive activities. Design and develop youth work responses underpinned by the four cornerstones of youth work: equality, participation, education and empowerment, and deliver the Youth Offer. Contribute to the prevention and early intervention/early help agenda for Lancashire County Council. Qualifications JNC 5‑6 Unqualified or JNC 7‑10 Qualified. Will undertake Level 2 Youth Work qualification if not already held; support will be provided for time and cost. An enhanced DBS check is required. Ability to work evenings (6:30–9:30pm).
