We are looking for a reliable team-player to join our Battersea depot as a Depot Operative, to support the day-to-day processing and handling of materials.As a Depot Operative at Day Group Ltd, you will be a key part of a fast-paced, safety-driven team, responsible for the smooth and efficient running of our Battersea production site. Working within a close-knit group, you will ensure materials are handled, processed, and moved safely and effectively, contributing to the delivery of high-quality service across the business.We are looking for someone who takes pride in hands-on work, values teamwork, and understands the importance of keeping the site safe, clean, and productive.ResponsibilitiesOperate and maintain the bagging plant in line with production schedules and safety standardsSafely move and manage large quantities of aggregates within bays and across the depot using heavy machineryProvide support to other Depot Operatives as needed to ensure smooth day-to-day operationsMaintain a clean and orderly site, taking shared responsibility for health, safety, and housekeepingPerson SpecificationPositive, can-do attitude with a strong work ethic and willingness to get stuck inAbility to communicate clearly and work as part of a team in a busy environmentA flexible and responsible approach to work, with a keen eye for safety and detailExperience of driving Telescopic Handlers or Forklift Trucks is advantageous (training can be provided for the right candidate)Why Day Group?At Day, we take pride in being one of the South’s leading suppliers of aggregates, and as demand for our product continues to grow, so does our workforce.
