Construction Project Manager

Role PurposeResponsible for the safe execution of a portfolio of concurrent projects for various Rolls-Royce sites. As part of the role the Project Manager must ensure that the projects are delivered to meet Integral & Rolls Royce’s standards regarding health, safety, quality, cost and programme, whilst complying as a Principal Contractor with current CDM legislation. This includes compliance with MS18 and CSO6 Rolls Royce standards. Project Managers must be qualified in a related trade, civils/groundworks/building structures etc.Duties & ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the execution of projects with potential values between £50k to £15m, across various Rolls Royce sites in Derby and the Midlands.Provide Health and safety leadership to your site delivery teams and promote behavioural safety improvements.Support the project risk management process and ensure effective controls are established to ensure the safe and timely delivery of the projects.Manage the projects in accordance with the requirements of the NEC3 Framework ContractSupport project opportunities where identified, to realise, maintain and improve the commercial project performance.Play an active lead in the production and risk management of quotations and estimates.Promote and maintain effective client/stakeholder relationships to protect and enhance the company's reputation at project level.To ensure our suppliers, sub-contractors and direct workforce follow company policies and procedures including Health & Safety, Quality Assurance and Engineering standards.Work closely with the Senior Design Manager to ensure robust, workable economic and constructable designs are produced.Liaise with the Rolls Royce Project Managers and their appointed consultant Project Managers to ensure that the projects are managed in compliance with MS18, CS06 and the current delivery programme and cost plan.To ensure a high level of service is delivered and develop relationships with key stakeholders.Ensure projects are delivered to the agreed contract programme.To ensure works are carried out to high standard complying with relevant British Standards, codes of practice and Rolls Royce Standards.Provide knowledge and support if required to ensure the quality and performance of the works.Ensure projects are completed snag and defect freeEnsure that post completion deliverables such as final accounts and Operation & Maintenance information is delivered within the contracted timescales.Provide coaching, mentoring and development support to direct reports and traineesSkills & ExperienceClear and confident written and verbal communication skillsKnowledge and skills to effectively problem solve.Experience in the use of the NEC3 ContractHigh level of self-motivation, organisational ability and drive to meet deadlines.Experience in the preparation of quotations and estimates.SMSTSCity & Guilds /NVQ construction related qualifications.CSCS CardFirst AidSound level of administration and organisational skillsPractical experience within the building/construction/building services industriesExperience of the management of Health and Safety across multiple sitesExperience of working in occupied buildings/campusesSound knowledge of computer software packages within Microsoft OfficeExperience in the use of Fieldview or similar tablet-based quality assurance software.Ability to develop a good understanding of the customers’ business requirements.InitiativeProactive approach to all tasks undertaken.High standard of workmanshipConscientiousTeam playerReliabilityCommitment to providing a high-quality of service and willing to work flexibly.Overtime when required #J-18808-Ljbffr
