Quality Improvement Nurse – The Christie NHS Foundation Trust An exciting opportunity to join the Quality and Standards team as a Quality Sister, working alongside the Lead Nurse for Quality. We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced Registered Nurse who will bring excellent clinical and communication skills, demonstrable leadership, and experience in networking and working alongside clinical teams with patient and relative involvement. Responsibilities Support the implementation of national policy directives and national evidence‑based practice in relation to the quality agenda, providing support to colleagues as appropriate. Support the planning and delivery of large‑scale quality improvement programmes to achieve outcome ambitions for effective patient care, working alongside staff, engaging, empowering them to influence change and monitoring sustainability. Provide clear leadership and direction to support clinical teams, liaising with senior leadership teams in the trust. Support the development and implementation of The Trust CODE accreditation and Quality Mark schemes, ensuring standards are maintained and staff are supported to make improvements through collaboration and engagement. Visit satellite centres to network and support clinical teams. Support the Lead Nurse and participate in developing the accreditation schemes across the organization, including oncology‑specific standards, by working collaboratively with clinical teams. Work with the Lead Nurse to support processes for our Non‑Medical Prescribing professionals and support clinical staff applying for the Non‑Medical Prescribing course. The Christie is one of Europe’s leading cancer centres, treating over 60,000 patients a year. We are based in Manchester and serve a population of 3.2 million across Greater Manchester & Cheshire, with 15% of patients referred from other parts of the country. We provide radiotherapy through one of the largest radiotherapy departments in the world; chemotherapy on site and through 14 other hospitals; highly specialist surgery for complex and rare cancer; and a wide range of support and diagnostic services.
