Whether that product be a single use medical device, consumables in a hospital environment, cosmetics and toiletries, or industrial products, we make sure everything that makes its way to an end user is safe for use or consumption. What is involved Safety To ensure all work in the laboratory is carried out in compliance with the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 including section 13 "Duties of employees", Health and Safety policies and all relevant statutory provisions in conjunction with the laboratory staff and under the direction of the laboratory management for the provision of laboratory testing services to Synergy Health customers Quality Liaise with Quality Representative to ensure that all operations are conducted in accordance with the Quality Management System. Maintains test equipment and instrumentation in good order. Liaise with laboratory management in meeting the test requirements. Specific and general responsibilities in respect of the Quality System. Accurately document and maintain comprehensive records of all quality tests conducted. Upholds relevant quality standards as set out in the controlled laboratory and Quality procedures. Performs other related quality duties as assigned. Duties Conduct simple and complex sample preparation techniques and analyse samples using a wide range of spectroscopic and other analytical instrumentation. Receiving consumables and distributing them into the designated areas. Support in developing bespoke methodologies to support Customer requirements. Conduct internal qualifications. Supporting audit preparation. Work and document analysis under appropriate accreditation. Required Experience 1-3 years Lab experience Science Qualification in Chemistry or Micro- Biology Knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements pertaining to laboratory operations preferable. Experience in the Medical device sector preferable Full UK driving license Skills Effective use of MS Word, MS PowerPoint and statistical data analysis using tools such as MS Excel. Ability to work independently under general guidelines and supervision. Effective interpersonal and communication skills, work team oriented.
