Carmichael UK are seeking an experienced Surveyor to join a Tier 1 contractor working on the prestigious HS2 project in Northamptonshire. This position is a nightshift role, working 12-hour shifts, supporting critical survey and setting-out activities across the project.

This is an excellent opportunity to be part of one of the UK’s largest infrastructure programmes, contributing to the safe and efficient delivery of high-quality works.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out site surveys and setting-out duties during night operations

Verify and record as-built data to ensure works are delivered in line with design specifications

Maintain accurate survey records and reports for project documentation

Support engineering teams and supervisors to ensure alignment and accuracy of construction works

Ensure all surveying activities are completed safely and in compliance with HS2 standards

Essential Requirements:

Proven experience working as a Surveyor or Site Engineer on major civil engineering projects

Strong understanding of survey instrumentation and software (e.g. Leica, Trimble, AutoCAD)

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in reporting

Valid CSCS card
