About the role We're looking for an experienced Investor Relations Manager to join our team. In this role, you'll play a critical part in enhancing and protecting the Group's external financial position and reputation through effective investor management and corporate communications. You’ll be the trusted expert ensuring the financial community — from shareholders and bondholders to banks and rating agencies — has a clear, consistent view of our performance. You’ll work closely with our External Communications Manager to effectively manage the Group’s reputation across a wide range of external stakeholders. This is a high‑impact role with real influence and plenty of opportunity to grow. What You’ll Be Doing Preparing final drafts of quarterly reporting documents, including bondholder presentations and Q&A support. Drafting strategic report sections for the annual report and other external‑facing documents. Creating responses to external queries, ensuring tone of voice and messaging consistency. Providing financial input for press releases and corporate communications. Monitoring competitor performance and delivering insightful analysis to senior leadership. Managing The Very Group’s corporate website and ensuring content accuracy. Staying ahead of reporting requirements and market developments. About you ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant with up to 3 years post‑qualified experience. A demonstrated understanding of the Group’s operations and its financials and/or experience in retail, tech and financial services organisations. Excellent written and presentational skills with the ability to prepare material for executive‑level discussion. Demonstrable experience in writing reports/presentations. Be comfortable working to tight deadlines under pressure, and in targeting the business with deadline adherence. Technically excellent with the ability to deal with complexity and communicate complex financial matters in simple terms. First‑class analytical skills with the ability to interpret critical information and data. A self‑starter with the confidence to provide opinion and with the desire and charisma to develop highly productive stakeholder relationships. Ability to see the wider picture and can reflect on how The Very Group and specific issues are perceived from an external perspective, both financial and reputational.
