Department Description The ITS organisation supports Atradius’ transformation journey, steering business change through innovation and new developments in information technologies and process improvement. The IT Work Programme Project Management team is technical and business‑oriented, works closely with Demand and Portfolio Management, and collaborates with development, product ownership, business analysis, architecture, networks, security, web, SDLC and other teams to realise benefits through project implementation. Job Description The Senior Programme Manager oversees the execution of a strategic IT Programme (a set of related projects) within the PPMO framework, leads delivery, aligns with organisational goals, optimises resources and delivers long‑term value. Key Responsibilities Lead multiple related projects to achieve programme objectives. Drive alignment of programmes with strategic goals and ensure benefits realisation and long‑term impact. Oversee execution, ensuring on‑time delivery with high quality standards. Proactively manage programme‑level risks and dependencies, ensuring actions are taken to resolve deviations. Oversee stakeholder engagement across ITS units. Performance review of Project Managers to ensure governance and quality are attained during project delivery. Align individual project plans within the overall programme roadmap with clearly defined deadlines, deliverables and resource allocation. Provide strategic guidance to project managers, collaborating to align execution priorities and maintain focus on key milestones. Implement and monitor robust tracking mechanisms across projects to identify and resolve risks or delays proactively. Monitor and report programme outcomes to the senior leadership team. Lead and support the completion of complex IT and business transformation projects and ensure alignment with business objectives and timelines. Ensure Project Managers develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, governance documents and adhere to the PPMO framework. Monitor project progress, milestones and deliverables; support PMs in steering board meetings for effective reporting. Assist with escalation of identified risks, issues and dependencies; support proactive mitigation strategies. Allocate resources efficiently, including budget, personnel and technology; consult with line managers and third parties. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders; maintain transparency, communication and alignment throughout the programme. Manage diverse project teams, foster a collaborative and high‑performance work environment, motivate team harmony and mentor junior project managers. Implement robust quality assurance processes and standards, ensuring delivery of high‑quality products and services. Support and escallate changes to project scope, requirements and timelines; coordinate adjustments with stakeholders. Lead change management initiatives to ensure smooth transitions. Required Qualifications Proven experience (6+ years) as a Project Manager, preferably in IT or business transformation projects. Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent problem‑solving, decision‑making and conflict‑resolution abilities. Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and tools (Azure Boards, ServiceNow SPM, Microsoft Office). Appropriate certification (e.g., APM, PMP, PRINCE2, CMI) desirable. Experience managing offshore software development projects beneficial. Proficiency in English; intermediate Spanish recommended; additional languages a plus. Skills and Competencies Knowledge of project management frameworks and best practices; ability to adhere to Atradius governance frameworks. Excellent communication and reporting skills to senior stakeholders and project teams. Systematising stakeholder relationship management to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. Independent time and resource management. Risk management capabilities to identify, anticipate and mitigate risks. Problem‑solving and multitasking across programmes and projects. Strong organisational, budget management and control skills. Leadership, critical thinking and stakeholder engagement. Negotiation skills internal and external. Planning and implementing change management activities. Experience with cloud technologies and tools such as Confluence and Azure DevOps. Experience in managing business and IT projects.
