Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification. Knowledge of the National Curriculum for Mathematics. Eligibility to work in the UK. Enhanced Child DBS on the updated service (Willingness for one). Skills Excellent subject knowledge in mathematics. The ability to differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners. Creativity in developing engaging and inspiring lesson plans. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to work collaboratively within a team. Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. Responsibilities Planning, preparing, and delivering high‑quality mathematics lessons. Marking and providing constructive feedback on students’ work. Assessing student progress and using data to inform future planning. Contributing to the development of the mathematics curriculum. Managing student behaviour effectively in the classroom and around the school. Communicating with parents/carers about student progress and well‑being. Attending and contributing to departmental meetings and whole‑school training. Undertaking pastoral duties as a form tutor. Participating in and leading extra‑curricular activities related to mathematics. Ensuring the maintenance of a safe and positive learning environment.
