A chance to lead the event planning for purpose-driven initiatives An opportunity to showcase your local knowledge and vendor network Flexibility and autonomy in how you manage your time and ideas A meaningful role that supports women, community development, and storytelling Recognition across our network for your contribution to impactful events Key Responsibilities Sourcing affordable or in-kind event spaces, identifying community halls, co-working spaces, or venues open to charity discounts or sponsorships Coordinating logistics such as refreshments, transportation, and room setup Contributing innovative ideas for funding or subsidising events, including partnerships, grant-supported venues, or creative venue-sharing models Reaching out to venues, negotiating terms, and securing bookings or offers Managing multiple moving parts, attending scheduled meetings, planning sessions, and team check-ins Required Skills & Experience Proven experience in event planning or coordination, ideally in non-profit, charity, or social impact spaces Strong knowledge of available and affordable venues in London, including community centres, cultural venues, and discounted spaces Confidence in reaching out to venues, negotiating terms, and securing bookings or offers Creative thinking around low-cost logistics, refreshments, and space setup Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple moving parts A genuine interest in supporting organisations that uplift communities Availability & Commitment Requirement Commit a minimum of 1–3 hours per week (more time may be required during ongoing events) Attend scheduled meetings, planning sessions, and team check-ins Contribute steadily over a minimum period of 3–6 months Deliver assigned tasks on time with professionalism Volunteers who are unable to meet these availability and engagement requirements may be discontinued after the first three weeks. What will you be doing? We are seeking a proactive and resourceful Event Manager with deep knowledge of cost‑effective and available venues in London that cater to non‑profit organisations, charities, and grassroots initiatives. This role is perfect for someone who is well‑connected in the London events space and passionate about helping social impact organisations make the most of their limited resources. This is a remote and on‑the‑ground volunteer opportunity based in London, UK, with flexible hours depending on project timelines.
