Role Overview Department: Academic/Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU)Location: Leeds (On site) Type of Contract: Full-Time, Permanent (40 hours per week). Sponsorship not offered. Salary: £51,000 Vision Changing lives through education. Position Lecturer in Accounting & Finance for BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance programme. Flexibility required to teach weekdays, evenings and weekends. Responsibilities Plan, deliver, and assess student work ensuring learning outcomes met. Develop, update, and improve course materials as appropriate. Use a variety of learning and teaching methods/materials. Actively engage in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings and other administrative duties. Stay up to date with latest developments in your field and student support practices. Work towards clearly defined objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction and progression. Qualifications Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance obtained in the UK or equivalent. Previous UK HE lecturing experience delivering core accounting modules such as Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Taxation and Audit. Extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter. Experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback. Accurate reporting and ability to maintain thorough and organised student records. Work under pressure, plan and prioritise own workload to meet tight deadlines. Excellent communication, interpersonal and team-working skills. Work with diverse groups of people. Desirable Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification, or commitment to enrol on a teaching programme during the probationary period and complete within three years. Fully qualified from PSRBs such as ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW and/or IFA. Benefits 25 days annual leave, plus 8 public holidays. 1-day extra leave per year of service, up to a maximum of 5 days.
