Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities The role involves the treatment of radiotherapy patients on one of our new linear accelerators at our main site at the General. There is also the expectation to rotate through our satellite centre in Basingstoke, with travel time and costs reimbursed. Other rotational work includes pre‑treatment, DXR and our new Brachytherapy suite. Additional opportunities are available in TBI and SABR, TBI and SABR. We are a regional sarcoma centre, a tertiary neuro‑oncology referral destination, and the only centre in the country delivering intra‑operative radiotherapy for pancreatic and GI tumours. We’re the first centre in the UK to use Exactrac Dynamic on 3 of our 7 Linacs, and our other linacs and 3 CTs have Align RT for thermal and surface‑guided set up and tracking. What You’ll Do Deliver radiotherapy treatment using available equipment, under the supervision of Band 6 Radiographers Calculate and record radiotherapy treatments accurately and maintain written records Be responsible for the well‑being and care of patients during radiotherapy Maintain all treatment records to department standards What We’ll Be Looking For Degree in Therapeutic Radiography or Diploma of the College of Radiographers State Registration with the HCPC Excellent written and verbal English language skills Experience with a wide variety of radiotherapy techniques and equipment Ability to communicate with a wide range of people Team‑player and able to work under own initiative Ability to follow instructions and work within the role’s confines We are open to discussing flexibility in working hours.
