Overview You will be responsible for leading customer-focused project teams, driving successful delivery of highways projects in Yorkshire, and ensuring alignment with safety, quality, and governance requirements. Responsibilities Leading customer-focused project teams to exceed expectations, ensuring high-quality, timely project delivery. Fostering strong engagement with stakeholders and local communities to create positive project outcomes. Ensuring strict compliance with industry standards, contracts, and governance processes. Driving financial performance through effective cost control, accurate forecasting, and profit accountability. Promoting a culture of safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement across all levels of the team. Mentoring and developing team members, sharing best practices to enhance skills and project outcomes. Familiarity with NEC 4 contracts, and an understanding of how project and package P&L impacts on corporate finances. Experience working for a tier 1 contractor and managing a project portfolio up to £15 million. Degree in civil engineering, construction management, architecture, or a related field, professional certification in project management, or relevant experience. Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma Methodologies is an advantage. Significant experience in highways construction, specifically road building and drainage systems.
