Senior / Principal Structural Engineer - Bristol

I am working with a long-established, multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy with a history stretching back more than a century. The structural team is highly regarded for delivering innovative, elegant and sustainable solutions across the full project lifecycle. Their work spans everything from small domestic refurbishments through to large-scale mixed-use and infrastructure developments worth hundreds of millions of pounds. Recent projects have included landmark commercial schemes, regeneration sites, new university facilities, major residential developments and high-profile offices and headquarters.

As Senior or Principal Structural Engineer, you will take the lead on a variety of projects across commercial, residential and retail sectors. You will be responsible for guiding junior engineers, reviewing technical work, and ensuring the quality and consistency of outputs. Alongside this, you will play a hands-on role with inspections, assessments and design work across steel, concrete, masonry and timber, and work closely with architects and other consultants to deliver coordinated solutions.

To be considered, you should hold a degree in Structural Engineering, be chartered with either ICE or IStructE, and have at least ten years of experience working in a UK design consultancy. Strong technical knowledge of Eurocodes, proven ability with structural software such as Tekla Structural Designer and Fastrak Building Designer, and excellent communication and report writing skills are essential. A full UK driving licence is also required.
