Personnel Specification Qualifications, Specific Experience & Training Advance Craft City & Guilds in Bricklaying, Plastering or equivalent which has been studied for whilst completing a recognised apprenticeship (between 3 & 5 years) and a broad, post apprenticeship, experience (ideally 5 years) of work undertaken by Bricklaying / Plastering craftsmen. Engineering / Building based NVQ level 2 / 3 qualification, out side of core trade, which allows the post holder to work in a multi-skilled way. Those entering the service without these qualifications will need to complete relevant training within 12 months. Other Requirements Clean full driving licence for private light goods vehicle Personal Attributes Reliability, enthusiasm and flexibility Have good time management and self management skills. Lateral thinker. Ability to communicate at all levels. Be able to work effectively on own or as part of a team. Self-motivation. Clean and tidy appearance. Good telephone manner. Knowledge and Skills completed relevant Health and Safety training. Safety regulations pertaining to the work being undertaken. Reading and interpreting technical drawings and manufacturers technical literature as and when required. Traditional and modern building techniques. Working in a complex building. The post holder must be able to demonstrate a wide technical knowledge and a broad experience of all aspects of work undertaking by a multi-trade craftsman. Knowledge of de-mountable partition and false ceiling systems.
