Sous Chef Location: UxbridgeHours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per weekSalary: £16.69 per hour We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our established kitchen team in Uxbridge. This is an excellent opportunity for a culinary professional who takes pride in producing well‑presented, high‑quality dishes and is ready to contribute to a smooth, efficient and positive kitchen environment. As Sous Chef, you will support the Head Chef in the daily operation of the kitchen, ensuring that food is prepared to consistently high standards. You will play a key role in supervising the team, maintaining excellent organisation, and helping drive the overall quality and presentation of our menu. Key Responsibilities Assist the Head Chef in the day-to-day management of kitchen operations. Prepare, cook and present dishes to a consistently high standard. Support and guide kitchen staff, contributing to training and development. Maintain exceptional hygiene, food safety and kitchen housekeeping standards. Participate in menu planning, development and improvement. Assist with stock control, ordering, waste management and cost awareness. Requirements Previous experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar supervisory role. Strong culinary skills with excellent attention to detail in plating and presentation. Ability to work effectively and calmly during busy service periods. Confident leadership and communication skills. Food hygiene certification (or willingness to obtain).
