Join to apply for the Product Developer role at Lantmännen Unibake. This role is offered on a part-time basis at 26.5 hours per week. It will be based at our Milton Keynes site with travel to our Bedford site. An exciting new vacancy has arisen for an Product Developer. Reporting into the NPD Manager you will manage the progression of customer and strategic concepts through the NPD process in order to launch high quality, best in class innovative products for LUUK and our customers and in turn facilitate both sales and bottom-line profit growth. You will be accountable for the management of key customer accounts from an NPD perspective. You Will Be Great At Managing multiple development projects at any one time Programme management with the ability to prioritise and balance workload Ensuring that all new products are developed in line with LUUK strategy and commercial, technical, and operational parameters Good presentational and selling skills – to be able to effectively influence both internally and with customers alike Communication and stakeholder management Identification and communication of the new product and process innovations, competitor launches and key food trends Sound commercial awareness You Are A self starter with the drive and tenacity to keep pushing a number of projects through the business at any one time Customer focussed with the ability to inspire team members to deliver ‘service we’re proud of’ and ‘products we’re proud of’ in everything that we do An innovator with a desire to create something new and with commercial viability A team player with the desire to support and develop other people to achieve their goals Enthusiasm for travel, for seeing new ideas and understanding different cultures A passion for food and bakery You Have Educated to degree level in Food Science or related Technology A proven track record of leading a product development project within the food industry / bakery Essential experience of working directly for a food retailer Sound commercial knowledge and understanding of customers, markets and production environments A comprehensive understanding of manufacturing process and methodology in order to facilitate the smooth transition from concept to finished product A proven ability to launch and deliver products to demanding profitability KPIs We will interview on an ongoing basis so please don’t hesitate to send your application by submitting your CV.
