Main duties of the job As a Consultant in General Adult Psychiatry within Hampshire's CMHT, you will lead clinical care and provide expert guidance within a collaborative, multi‑disciplinary team. Key duties for each post include: Gosport War Memorial, Hewat Centre Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and treatment planning for adults with complex mental health needs. Oversee care delivery as the Responsible Clinician, ensuring patient‑centred and recovery‑focused interventions. Mentor and support junior doctors and allied health professionals, fostering team development and best practices. Parkway Centre, Havant Lead psychiatric care within the community, focusing on integrated, holistic support for adult patients. Engage in clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives to enhance service outcomes and patient experience. Work collaboratively with team members to manage risk, provide clinical oversight, and support professional growth. Both roles require clinical expertise, leadership skills, and a strong commitment to patient‑centred care.
