TVF performs approximately 550 fresh cycles and 450 frozen cycles per year, offers a full suite of treatment and diagnostic services, including PGT, and has a 5/5 inspection rating from the HFEA. Our state‑of‑the‑art laboratory was purpose‑built in 2017 and is equipped with the latest laboratory equipment and monitoring systems.RoleThis is a rare and exciting opportunity for a Deputy Laboratory Manager to join our team of highly skilled and dedicated scientists. As well as contributing to the clinical workload, the successful candidate will have opportunities to be involved in training junior embryologists, service development, research, quality management, donor recruitment and project work. The Deputy Laboratory Manager will support the Laboratory Manager in the delivery of the service and management of the laboratory team.Key ResponsibilitiesFull range of clinical procedures, including ICSI, vitrification and PGTCommunicate with patients about treatment options and resultsQuality Management – support audit, document control, non‑compliance, quality control/assuranceAssisting in the management of imports/exports, donor recruitment and stored gametes/embryosResource management – staffing, consumables and equipmentOperational management – rota’s and workflowMonitor KPI’s and identify areas for improvementTraining, induction and assisting in the performance management of new and junior staffRegulatory complianceAssisting in the delivery of group‑level projectsJob RequirementsMinimum of a degree in Life Sciences, preferably an MSc or PhDHCPC Registered (or immediately eligible)Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, some preferably at a senior/management levelFully trained in all clinical laboratory procedures, preferably including biopsyAdvanced knowledge of the UK Regulatory FrameworkSelf‑motivated, eager to learn and resilientHigh level of attention to detail and focusExcellent communication skillsSalaryCompetitive (depending on experience)LocationTFP Thames Valley Fertility – MaidenheadWorking Hours37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday.
