You will get to know their businesses, uncover the obstacles they face and become familiar with their sectors. The experience is varied. Some projects last a few days, others a few weeks. We encourage you to take responsibility early on, and you will get to grips with all aspects of the role and audit process.To learn more about working in our Non Profit teamHear from Sam and Anjali.Key ResponsibilitiesConducting audit fieldwork on behalf of a wide variety of nonprofit clients, with support from the wider audit team.Drafting recommendations for improvements to clients' financial systems and controlsAttending client meetings with the wider team.Assist in planning audits, including reviewing prior year information and preparing lead schedulesPrepare financial statements in line with relevant standards and legal requirementsDraft corporation tax computations and support tax-related audit procedures.Support the preparation of audit close-out meeting materials and discussion points.Communicate effectively with internal teams, including technical and tax departments.Help manage client expectations and meet deadlines throughout the audit process.Maintaining knowledge of all relevant ISA requirements and MKS internal policies in producing audit files.Demonstrating a solid understanding of double entry accounting/bookkeeping.Working with other trainees to deliver assignments and assisting them with their personal development.Who are we looking for?Currently studying towards the ICAEW ACA qualification, having begun or completed professional level papersHave achieved a 2:1 or above, from a degree in any discipline. Or, progressed onto the ACA qualification via an alternative route, such as completing AAT Level 4Have obtained at least 112 UCAS points from three A-Levels, or equivalent qualifications.At least 1 year of audit experience and experience of working with non-profit clients is mandatoryTechnically competentExperience of Pro-audit, CCH Accounts Production, Xero accounting, Quickbooks and Alphatax, Office 365 would be desirableWe're looking for people who are excellent communicators, adaptable, enjoy building relationships and are passionate about developing themselves.For full details of the skills we look and our trainee programme, please see: Early talent | Careers in accountancy - Moore Kingston Smith #J-18808-Ljbffr
