YOUR ROLE Our Automation Assurance Specialists ensure the reliability and quality of technical solutions delivered to clients, providing confidence that implementations meet expectations and specifications. Responsibilities include executing comprehensive testing across Accessibility, Performance, Security, and Functional validation, designing and maintaining clean, robust automation test suites, integrating them into a continuous integration pipeline, and collaborating across engineering teams. Undertake cross‑functional engineering projects within small teams, building supportable, sustainable, and reliable services. Work with other engineers and design teams, assuring confidence in technical delivery. Continuously improve team processes, practices, tools, and techniques. Co‑coach and mentor colleagues, sharing knowledge and experience. Encourage innovation, inclusion, teamwork, self‑organisation, and diversity. Collaborate with clients and internal teams on new opportunities and open‑source initiatives. YOUR PROFILE Required Certified ISTQB Foundation or equivalent. Experience with exploratory, integration, manual, and functional testing techniques. Experience setting up test frameworks in Java or JavaScript. Experience writing backend and frontend automated tests using Selenium, Playwright, Cucumber, REST, etc. Experience in an Agile environment. Proficient with GitHub, GitLab, or other version‑control tools. Self‑motivated, able to identify and address areas for improvement. Desirable Experience with Accessibility, Performance, Security, and other testing techniques. Experience applying structured evaluation methods (e.g., AI evaluations). Experience with Docker, Maven, CI/CD tools (GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins). Knowledge of web standards, accessibility, and test‑automation best practices. Familiarity with GOV.UK design system.
