The ideal candidate is HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist with a minimum of 2 years post‑registration experience in Clinical Biochemistry or Serology. Successful candidates will be trained on both Clinical Biochemistry and Serology departments. We will also consider applicants with less than 2 years of experience who can demonstrate significant laboratory experience and can be employed at Band 5.Once the specialist portfolio in either Clinical Biochemistry or Serology is completed, there will be automatic promotion to Band 6. Previous experience in a multi‑disciplinary laboratory setting and/or with automated platforms (especially Abbott Alinity) is highly desirable.This is an excellent opportunity to grow within a forward‑thinking and supportive pathology network. Join us at NWLP—where innovation meets dedication.Be an efficient and flexible member of the Blood Sciences laboratory, providing a high‑quality service to Imperial College Healthcare Trust.Maintain required levels of laboratory safety and good laboratory practice, as specified in local and national guidelines.Work with biomedical scientists and clinical scientists in the provision of a comprehensive and effective Blood Sciences service for the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, as directed by the Head of the Department.Participate in the efficient handling, processing and analysis of samples in the laboratory, under supervision.Maintain effective records of all activities and procedures, and contribute towards the maintenance of the laboratory's quality system.Check, keep clean and maintain laboratory equipment.Carry out supervised laboratory procedures in all sections of the laboratory, as directed by the Head of the Unit and senior scientific staff.Undergo appropriate teaching and training as directed and as necessary in order to maintain HCPC registration and to maintain suitable records of all training activities undertaken.Benefits include career development, flexible working, staff wellbeing programmes, staff awards and recognition scheme.
