OverviewManufacturing Team Member role at GE Vernova. Become part of a winning team and help to deliver the Green Energy transition. You will manufacture Electro-mechanical products to meet production plans, ensuring assembly, inspection and test is carried out using Lean methodology. You will work to specifications and instructions, using the correct tools, methods, and equipment. Meeting exacting standards expected by the customer.Shift Pattern: Dayshift and/or Twilight as Business requires. Start Times: Monday - Thursday 7:00am to 3:30pm; Friday 7:00am to 12:00pm.Job DescriptionEssential ResponsibilitiesEnvironment / Health / Safety: Compliance with EHS adherence to safe working operating procedures from the perspective of their own safety and safety of their work colleagues.Product on time delivery: Responsible for the build, test, and repair of products to the manufacturing plan.Product Quality: Responsible for the build quality of the product in line with the standard operating instructions. May be required to assist in the training of others.Product cost: Responsible for the efficient manufacture of the product, respecting and adhering to defined processes.Continuous Improvement: Implement process improvement actions as instructed to achieve sustainable productivity improvements without impairing product quality, delivery performance or safety. Proposals should align with GE processes and policies using the Employee Ideas Scheme.SupportProductivity / Leakage / Efficiency Improvements KPI.On time Delivery KPI.Product FTPR (First time pass rate) KPI.MaintenanceWork to Lean practices, follow routine maintenance schedules and cleaning plans for workstations, jigs, and fixtures.Highlight issues to the Production Support Engineer/Coordinator.Participate in 5S Audits and maintenance plans.GeneralSupport any other duties required to support the manufacturing facility. Be adaptable to future business requirements. Support GE Beliefs.Roles And ResponsibilitiesFollow safety standards. Identify near misses and unsafe conditions, and report to immediate mentor, team leader or supervisor.Follow working instructions for specific operations to ensure production according to quality standards.Flag process problems to the team leader, and take ownership of quality performance.Organise work to achieve individual objectives while contributing to team objectives.Strive to meet costs, time and quality requirements of the job.Meet the skill set required for specific operations as per company standard.Identify potential job delays that may cause deviation to the standard process, and report to mentor, team leader or supervisor.Maintain a tidy area, put tools in their proper place, keep areas free from hazards.Understand received job information and seek improvements.Support standard cycle time and man hour requirements.Conduct daily 5S inspections as required.Support Kaizen workshops and continuous improvement activities as required.Provide feedback to team leader or supervisor on lessons learnt and support implementation of improvement ideas.Perform time registration according to guidelines, clock on and off at correct times, and respect working hours.Communicate task completion according to guidelines.About GE Grid SolutionsGE Grid Solutions focuses on electrifying the world with advanced grid technologies and accelerating the transition to a more energy efficient grid.
