Reprographics Manager

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Manager to oversee operations in our print facility. This role requires a hands‑on approach, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. The role will be a daytime shift 8am - 5.15pm. Duties Supervise daily operations within the repro department, ensuring that all team members are performing their tasks effectively. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Facilitate communication between departments to enhance workflow and productivity. To provide an efficient and effective reprographic service to the business. The Reprographics Manager will report directly to the Managing Director. Principle Accountabilities To ensure that all printing and finishing for the business is presented correctly and completed within the agreed deadline. To ensure that all machinery is kept clean and in good working order. To manage staff within the department and organise/monitor the workload for the department. To check work that has been produced after the night shift has been completed (check the following morning) and amend/update the daily production schedule. To attend the daily production meetings. Duties Take responsibility for layout, copy, PDF’s, imposing files, outputting Epson’s, plating. To be responsible for ordering reprographics equipment and stationery and maintaining stock levels. To check files received from clients. To create artwork for clients that request this service. To undertake stock control of the Reprographics department supplies. To contact external technicians in the event of a breakdown of machinery and to ensure that correct maintenance has taken place. To maintain, daily, weekly and monthly figures of printing for departments and produce costings as required. Other duties To undertake any training commensurate with the post. To comply with individual responsibilities, in accordance with the role, for health and safety in the workplace. To work under FSC guidelines. Retrieval of archived files when necessary. Experience Agfa Apogee for the imposition and outputting of plates. Konica Minolta Bizhub C1085 Digital Press. Vivid Matrix Laminating and Foiling machine. Maintenance of digital press.
