Ideally, they are looking for an individual who has valid and varied experience in carrying out Fire Risk Assessments and Health & Safety checks and also have the appropriate qualifications. Qualifications & Experience Must hold the NEBOSH Fire Certificate or NEBOSH Fire Conversion Technician status with recognised bodies – IFSM/IFPO/IFE would be preferred. Ideally, they are looking for an individual who comes from a good educational, consultancy and technical, Health & Safety background within the fire industry, although having experience in other industries would be beneficial but not essential. Must have an in-depth knowledge and experience of undertaking fire risk assessments on various properties, including commercial, industrial and public sectors. Fire plan drawings, fire drills, fire warden duties, use of extinguishers, real fire training, briefings, delivering training courses, etc. Delivering presentations and training. Managing and developing the company’s client base. Providing Fire and Safety Guidance and investigating incidents. Producing fire risk assessment reports and ensuring compliance with the Health & Safety Legislation with regards to fire. Dealing with issues effectively and appropriately. Liaising with clients and management. Getting involved in training. Liaising with clients on a regular basis. Dealing with Health & Safety issues effectively and appropriately. The successful post-holder will be of smart disposition, confident, flexible, methodical and have the ability to show competency in undertaking Fire Risk Assessments without supervision.
