Re-engagement Key Worker Join to apply for the Re-engagement Key Worker role at WMJobs Stoke-on-Trent City Council, Directorate: Children and Families, Section: Access & Support Services, Grade: Level 9, Salary: £34,185.11‑£36,807.07 (under 5 years local government service) or £34,959.19‑£37,640.52 (over 5 years local government service), Hours: 37 hours per week, working term time plus. You will work 38 weeks when the schools are open plus an additional 21 days during the school closure periods. Responsibilities Support statutory entitlement for children who cannot attend school due to exclusion, illness, or other exceptional circumstances. Guide vulnerable children and young people back to education and opportunities. Work directly with schools, families, health professionals and alternative providers to ensure every child receives a high-quality, tailored education. Build trusted relationships with young people and families, co‑produce personalised education placement plans. Coordinate wrap‑around support across education, health, and social care. Drive positive transitions back into mainstream settings. Qualifications Empathy, resilience and a deep belief in second chances. Experience working with schools and vulnerable children.
