Job SummaryWe have an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Clinical Lead to join our Mental Health team at HMP Winchester, a category B Prison located in Winchester.Position DetailsHours: 37.5 hours a week working 8-4pm. No weekends.Salary: annual up to £57,603 depending on experience.Support and DevelopmentBespoke induction, Introducing Health in Justice training course, competency framework, regional and national career development opportunities, bespoke Learning Management System, support from the wider team.Legal and Security ChecksCandidates must have a legal right to work in the UK. Offer is subject to vetting and security checks.ResponsibilitiesProvide clinical leadership and management to Registered nurses and allied health professionals.Establish inter-agency working where necessary to ensure good communication increases quality of care for patients.Ensuring that own clinical practice is consistent with autonomous practice within the role.Based on the Wellbeing Approach and Practice Plus mental Health policy, provide nursing triage and screening and assessment.Actively participate with the development of local operating procedures to ensure pathways are clear for clinicians.Ensuring all complaints / concerns relating to Mental Health are dealt with in a timely fashion.Nurse lead treatment or care within mental health.Medicines management/advice including supporting medicine administration.Set standards for care by implementing protocols and establishing health education activities.Maintain accurate documentation of assessment, planning and treatment of patients.QualificationsRegistered Mental Health Nurse (currently registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council)BSc or equivalent qualificationExperience of providing supervisionTeaching / Mentoring experienceEvidence of appropriate continuing professional development activity to maintain up-to-date knowledge and ongoing competence in all aspects of the roleBenefitsDiscounts on shopping and leisure activitiesSupport to grow in your role and continue your professional development24/7 employee assistance helpline and financial assistance when you need it #J-18808-Ljbffr
