DescriptionEmployerLocation St Peter’s is looking for an enthusiastic part-time Design and Technology Technician to join our friendly team as soon as possible, working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday during term time. Surrey Pay Scale PS4 £25,052 to £26,825 FTE 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term time only (39 weeks per year. Actual salary £20,953 to £22,436 St Peter's is a renowned successful school and Sixth Form in Guildford. We have an exciting opportunity to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join our team as technician to the Design & Technology Department. This individual will be required to manage and maintain our workshops and equipment as well as managing orders and preparing materials. They will also be required on staff request to be present in lessons to support students’ practical work. We work hard to develop exciting projects that will capture imaginations and make learning fun. We share ideas and resources and work in a highly effective and collaborative way. About You : We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Technician of Design Technology ideally with a knowledge of wood and metalworking machinery and techniques. A successful applicant will ideally have budgeting and basic IT skills. We are particularly interested in individuals who are willing to embrace learning new technologies such as CNC equipment. We also need a technician who thrives working with young people and puts them at the heart of everything they do.
