Specialist Teaching Assistant - PLMD, Autism Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with diverse learning needs? We are looking for a motivated, energetic, and enthusiastic Specialist Teaching Assistant to join one of our client specialists primary schools in Trafford. This exciting opportunity offers you the chance to work with children who have moderate to complex learning difficulties, as well as challenges in communication & interaction, social, emotional and mental health, and sensory or physical/medical needs. Your role will be crucial in helping pupils reach their potential and achieve positive outcomes. Specialist Teaching Assistant - Key Responsibilities Supporting children on a one-to-one basis and in small groups Assisting with the delivery of tailored learning plans to meet individual needs Helping to manage social, emotional, and behavioural needs in a supportive environment Encouraging communication and interaction through a range of strategies and tools Supporting students with physical and sensory needs, ensuring full participation in the curriculum Collaborating with the teaching team to monitor progress and adapt support as required Specialist Teaching Assistant - The Ideal Candidate Energetic, enthusiastic, and patient Committed to improving the educational experience of children with special educational needs Able to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents Flexible, proactive, and able to think on your feet Experience of working with children with learning difficulties or special educational needs is preferred but not essential A relevant qualification, such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, is desirable OR a relevant degree Specialist Teaching Assistant - What We Offer A supportive and dedicated consultant working alongside you Ongoing professional development opportunities A rewarding role where you can make a real impact in children's lives Full-time, Monday to Friday, term time only If you are passionate about providing outstanding support to children with a range of learning and development needs, we would love to hear from you.
