As a Support Worker you’ll help people gain more independence in daily life, while working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people.Our residential service, set just off the main street in Wellington, is a beautiful home with green grounds, its own hydrotherapy pool and sensory room, and a welcoming environment. You’ll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, and encouraging them to access their local communities, socialise and participate in activities. One day you could be out with the people we support in local bars and pubs; the next you could be unwinding with them playing video games, watching films or going to the cinema.This is a role for someone who wants to make a difference and help individuals grow in confidence and independence so they meet their goals, whether that be cooking dinner for themselves or going on holiday.ResponsibilitiesSupport individuals to gain more independence in daily living activitiesAssist with personal care and daily routinesEncourage and enable access to local communities and social activitiesPlan and participate in activities, including outings and leisurePromote safety, dignity and person-centred careDocument and reflect on progress and care needsWork as part of a team to deliver high-quality supportQualifications & RequirementsIdeally hold a full UK driving licenseResilient, flexible and composed in approachExperience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practiceExperience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviour of distress, mental health conditions, autism and people who have experienced traumaAll applicants will be subject to satisfactory DBS checks and referencesEquality & Eligibility* Some roles may require male or female employees only where indicated; this is a genuine occupational requirement in line with the Equality Act 2010 #J-18808-Ljbffr
