If so, the role of a Senior Support Worker might be perfect for you. As a Senior Support Worker, you will supervise and delegate tasks to a dedicated team of support workers, ensuring that values-based support is delivered to the highest standards for the people we support.ResponsibilitiesSupervise staff members and delegate responsibilities to ensure values-based support is delivered to a high standard.Support adults with conditions such as learning disabilities, dementia, mental health and other physical conditions on a person-centred basis.Follow care plans, administer medication, and assist with daily living tasks and activities including accessing the community and domestic tasks (e.g., shopping).Qualifications and requirementsPrevious experience as a Support Worker is essential.Ability to supervise and coordinate a team in a care setting.Commitment to values-based care aligned with Making Space’s core values.Training and developmentOn joining Making Space you will receive on-the-job training and may have the opportunity to undertake professional qualifications if desired or required for your role (levels 2-6 in Health and Social Care, Management, Admin, and other CPD).We invest in career progression; at least half of our senior posts are filled internally through promotion.Travel schemes including cycle to work, car maintenance and 45p per mile travel expenses may be available.BenefitsStream – Access up to 30% of your wages as you earn.Lifestyle benefits through Bravo Benefits and Health service discounts.Up to 28 days holidays per year (pro rata for part time) including bank holidays.Double pay on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.Holiday buy/sell options up to 2 weeks (statutory limits apply).Access to learning through our e-portal and opportunities for CPD.Employer pension contribution (minimum 3%).Paid sick leave.Successful applicants will be subject to employment checks, including DBS and references checks and safeguarding training.
