Private Client Tax Manager - Manchester Our client is seeking an experienced and client-focused Private Client Tax Manager to join a reputable accounting firm based in Manchester. This role involves managing a diverse portfolio of private clients, delivering comprehensive tax compliance, advisory, and planning services. As a Private Client Tax Manager in Manchester, you will work alongside a skilled team to provide tailored tax solutions and drive the growth of the private client tax service. Key Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of private client tax matters, including self‑assessment, inheritance tax, capital gains tax, trusts, and estates. Review and supervise junior staff in preparing personal tax returns and trust accounts. Deliver bespoke tax planning advice for high‑net‑worth individuals, families, and business owners in Manchester. Maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted adviser on complex personal tax issues. Keep abreast of tax legislation affecting private clients and provide proactive updates and advice. Mentor junior members of the team to foster development and technical knowledge. Required Experience ACA, CTA, ATT, or equivalent qualification. Proven experience managing private client tax portfolios within an accountancy practice. Strong technical knowledge of UK personal tax legislation including IHT, CGT, and trust taxation. Excellent communication, client engagement, and organisational skills. Desired Experience Experience working with high‑net‑worth clients and complex family tax structures.
