Learning Support Assistant - Primary School - Haringey, North London

A welcoming and inclusive Primary School in Haringey is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a compassionate and proactive Learning Support Assistant looking to make a lasting difference in the lives of children who need additional support in class.

The Learning Support Assistant will work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to support pupils with a range of learning needs, including mild Autism, ADHD, and speech and language delays. You'll help ensure that each child feels valued and supported, both academically and emotionally.

Responsibilities for the Learning Support Assistant:

Provide 1:1 and small group support within the classroom.

Assist the teacher with lesson delivery and differentiated activities.

Help manage pupil behaviour and promote engagement in learning.

Support social and emotional development through positive reinforcement.

Requirements:

Experience working as a Learning Support Assistant or Teaching Assistant.

Understanding of SEND, particularly Autism or communication needs.

A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.

Details:

Role: Learning Support Assistant

Location: Haringey, North London

Contract: Long-term, full-time (Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:00pm)

Pay: £85-£100 per day (depending on experience)

Start Date: Immediate
