The Role The successful candidate will work as part of a small, high-quality team, handling a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters. You will advise a diverse client base, including SMEs, larger organisations and public sector clients, and support the team across advisory, litigation and project-based work. This is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious solicitor looking to take the next step in their career within a collaborative, forward-thinking firm with a strong regional reputation. Key Responsibilities Managing a varied caseload of employment matters, both contentious and non-contentious. Advising on disciplinary, grievance, dismissal and redundancy processes. Drafting employment contracts, policies and HR documentation. Handling Employment Tribunal cases, including preliminary hearings and case preparation. Advising on TUPE and wider workforce changes. Working closely with clients, providing clear, commercial guidance. Supporting the team with training sessions and business development initiatives where required. Candidate Requirements Qualified Solicitor with 4+ PQE (or equivalent level of experience) in employment law. Strong technical understanding of employment legislation and tribunal procedure. Confident managing matters with appropriate autonomy. Excellent communication and client-handling skills. Well-organised, proactive and able to manage a busy workload.
