The Neonatal Unit is looking for highly motivated, enthusiastic individuals to join our friendly Neonatal team. This vacancy is open to RNC's and RN's with at least 6 months post grad qualification, who are looking for a new challenge or a change in direction within their career. As aBand 5 Staff nurse you will be well supported to further enhance your clinical knowledge and expertise to develop from novice to expert within the sphere of neonatal nursing, with a nurtured career progression onto the Neonatal Qualified in Speciality Intensive/High dependency Course. If you are dedicated and want to be part of a team who are striving to deliver excellence and that places the baby and the family at the heart of all they do then the Neonatal Unit at Kettering General Hospital is the place for you., The post holder will be responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of care required for the sick neonate and their family. Following an induction programme and period of preceptorship the post holder will be expected to carry out holistic, family centred care in a supportive environment without direct supervision. Our level 2 neonatal unit has the capacity for 2 intensive care cots, 6 high dependency cots and 8 special care cots. Our Neonatal matron leads our team of senior nurses, practice development nurse, neonatal nurses, nursing associates and neonatal support workers.
