We are seeing to recruit an experienced fee earnerto join our expanding Wills and Probate/ Private Clientteam at our Bedford office.The ideal candidate will have 4 years PQE.SFE and STEP membership an advantage.About the role / Duties:Dealing with administration of estates from start to finish.Preparation and application for Grant of Probate and Letters of Administration.Completion of and dealing with all tax forms, in respect of Inheritance Tax, Income Tax and Capital Gains Tax and advising with regard to the same.Attending to house clearances where appropriateCollecting in and realising assets and paying liabilitiesDistributing the estate and preparing income and distribution accountsAdvising with regard to Tax mitigation and Deeds of Variation and dealing with the same.WillsTaking instructions and advising as necessaryAssessing the capacity of the Client, where necessaryProviding advice on Inheritance Tax, Income Tax, and Capital Gains Tax and Tax MitigationDrafting, preparation and attesting of WillsApplying for Statutory Wills, where necessaryTrusts and TaxAdvising generally with regard to TrustsProviding advice on Inheritance Tax, Income Tax, and Capital Gains Tax and Tax MitigationDrafting Trust documentsPowers of Attorney/Lasting Powers of AttorneyTaking instructions and advising as necessary with regard to Lasting Powers of Attorney.Assessing the capacity of the Client, where necessaryDrafting Powers of AttorneyPreparing applications with regard to the registration of Enduring Powers of AttorneyActing as Certificate ProvidersAdvising and looking after interests of elderly clientsDealing with their affairs either under Power of Attorney or without Power of AttorneyAdvising generally and managing financial affairs of clients, paying bills and looking after their investments and assetsAdvising with regard to DSS benefits and making necessary applicationsA knowledge of social care and CHC funding would be useful.Court of ProtectionMaking applications to the Court for the appointment of a Deputy and all relevant orders and directionsComplying with terms of Court Orders and directionsProducing accounts for the CourtDealing with all necessary formalities of the Court and generally with the Patient’s affairsBusiness DevelopmentProven experience of business developmentDetails:Hours: Monday to Friday - 9:00 to 5:15Attractive salary dependent on experienceWorking on a fixed fee basis means there is no uncertainty as to your outlay. #J-18808-Ljbffr
