Costs Draftsman/ Costs Lawyer | Manchester

We are currently working with Costs Consultancy who are looking to recruit a number of Costs Draftsman and Costs Lawyers into their Costs team in Manchester. The firm offers excellent training and the role can also be fully remote for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

  1. Working on clinical negligence, personal injury, EL, PL, Industrial Disease cases from small to high value.
  2. Dealing with a complex caseload.
  3. Preparation of bills of costs for detailed assessment as well as litigation of bills through the Court process.
  4. Preparing budgets and points of replies and negotiating settlements to close.

Qualifications:
  1. Experience either in-house or for an external costs supplier.
  2. Basic knowledge of legal procedures.
  3. Experience of dealing with a Costs caseload which involves drafting bills of costs, costs schedules, and preparing budgets.
  4. Experience of negotiating cases through settlement.

Benefits:
The role offers a competitive salary dependent on experience, and offers 23 days + bank holidays as well as further benefits.
