OverviewHGV Highways Operative - TorquayResponsibilitiesWork as part of a team undertaking Highways repairs, ranging from patching, resurfacing, potholes, drainage, footways and general highway maintenance.Use technology (tablets/apps) to input safety data and maintenance records.Drive/operate plant and equipment where trained, necessary for the day to day tasks set.Take responsibility for vehicles/plant/materials in your charge.Where appropriate provide direction/supervision of the work to less experienced operatives.Essential SkillsClean driving License.A commitment to Health and Safety.Good communication skills and basic literacy and numeracy.Ability to undertake a high level of manual work and work outdoors in all weathers.CSCS Card.Desirable SkillsHighways experience.HGV license.New Roads and Street Works (NRSWA).Operative Accreditation Lantra 12d.Winter WorksRate of Pay£13.00-£13.50 per hour depending upon experience.These will be PAYE positions so you will benefit from.Accrued Holiday Pay from day one.Pension contributions (after a qualifying period).Weekly Pay.No Umbrella payments or fees.Only Tax and National Insurance deductions and this will be shown on your payslip.How to ApplyThis is a temporary role, but there is a possibility this could become permanent in the future so to apply for this role please send your CV to Dean@paramountpersonnel.com or call 0345 241 1000 for more information.Data ProtectionPlease note that if you apply for this vacancy then you have given permission under Data Protection (GDPR) for us to share selected details with our clients for their related vacancies.
