Job Title Senior Power Automate Developer Location VE3 City Of London, England, United Kingdom Job Overview You’ll build secure, supportable automations using Power Automate (Cloud) and Dataverse, and use Power Automate Desktop (PAD) only where UI automation is unavoidable. You’ll engineer for robustness—idempotency, retries, telemetry—and deliver packed solutions through CI/CD. Clearance Eligible for NPPV Level 2 (policing) or willing to undergo similar vetting. Responsibilities Implement Dataverse schema, cloud flows, connection references, environment variables, and telemetry (App Insights). Build PAD automations with resilient selectors, dynamic waits, exception handling, screen-on-error, and credential isolation via Key Vault. Migrate legacy RPA (e.g., Blue Prism) to API-first or hybrid patterns. Write unit/integration tests and contribute to SAT; instrument performance and success rates. Package as managed solutions; collaborate on pipelines (pack/unpack, Solution Checker, gates). Produce runbooks, KB articles, and supportable config (feature flags, routing rules). Fix defects quickly; participate in Go/No-Go, smoke tests, and hypercare. Qualifications 3–6+ years building automations (Power Automate, PAD, or equivalent RPA). Real‑world experience with Dataverse, premium connectors, connection management, retries/backoff, and idempotency. Practical CI/CD exposure on Power Platform (PAC CLI, solution checker, pipelines). Good grasp of secure coding for automations: no secrets in code, least privilege, DLP awareness. Clear documentation and teamwork—you leave maintainable, observable solutions. Nice to have: .NET/TypeScript for Functions/PCF; APIM policies; UI automation in complex desktop/web apps; any Blue Prism migration experience.
