We’re looking for a Kitchen Assistant to support the kitchen team at Pilgrims View Care Home. Responsibilities Prepping fresh ingredients – fruits, veggies, and more. Assisting in serving meals and ensuring mealtimes are warm and welcoming. Keeping the kitchen and dining areas spotless, safe, and compliant with hygiene standards. Supporting the Cook with meal planning based on residents’ nutritional needs and preferences. Upholding safety, hygiene, and nutritional standards every day. Essential Qualifications An understanding and kind nature – working closely with older people. Enthusiasm for food and willingness to learn. A true team player. Desirable Qualifications City & Guilds or similar catering qualification. Knowledge of food hygiene, cultural diets, and nutrition. Environmental Health Certificate in Food Hygiene.
