Peripatetic Woodwind Teacher

Role Overview Halliford School is seeking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic peripatetic woodwind teacher to join a team of experienced, friendly and supportive Visiting Music Teachers. Working within our well‑resourced and flourishing department, the successful candidate will be experienced in teaching saxophone, clarinet and flute to students of all abilities. Key Details Position start: January 2026 Lessons required: 4 × 40‑minute lessons per week Responsibilities Teach saxophone, clarinet and flute to students of all abilities. Assist pupils in preparation for performances, examinations and auditions. Prepare students for ABRSM, Trinity and Rock School exams, and for university choral scholarships, including Oxbridge. Support the Music Department by assisting in concerts, open days and other public events from time to time. Co‑lead the School's Jazz Band. Qualifications Demonstrated expertise within the woodwind field with proven ability as a performer and a teacher. Willingness to dedicate time to departmental responsibilities and external events.
