About the role We are looking for a motivated Shift Leader to oversee store operations and deliver outstanding customer service. Take ownership of running duty shifts, coordinating the team and providing support and coaching throughout the shift. Engage with customers, listen to their needs and help them leave the store satisfied. Identify opportunities to improve service and support team members with feedback and guidance. Ensure the store remains a safe place for customers and colleagues. Maintain accurate store performance metrics and collaborate with management on improvement actions. Serve as a role model and set a positive example for your colleagues. Support opening and closing procedures and complete duty cover responsibilities. Act as the go‑to person for day‑to‑day queries in the absence of a manager. Contribute to a positive team atmosphere and celebrate colleagues’ achievements. Lead the coordination of seasonal, community and charity events within the store. Keep the team informed of any communications, changes or updates. Follow health and safety routines and procedures, ensuring compliance by all staff. Qualifications Strong role model with thoughtful customer service skills. Ability to build strong relationships, fostering an inclusive team environment. Excellent communication skills across multiple channels. Comfortable leading and overseeing the store in the absence of a manager. Good decision maker, flexible, and able to manage change. Motivational leadership to inspire the team to exceed expectations.
