Are you looking to work one-to-one with children outside of mainstream schools? If so, TP Tutors may have the role for you. This English tutor role will be ideal if you have previous experience of teaching, teaching assistant, SEN one-to-one or tutoring and are looking for some flexible work. It will be based working with Primary/Secondary children in the Northampton area. This English tutor role involves: Working with children with SEN needs who need to provide face to face support to children with ASD, SEMH at their homes, care homes or a local area e.g., library which can be agreed with the parents/ carers. Planning resources around the child’s needs, this could be on developing their knowledge in English. Managing behaviour and implementing a range of behaviour strategies. What we are looking for in English tutor: SEN experience (as teaching assistant, one-to-one or any other) Able to plan and deliver engaging, nurturing sessions. Applying skills to raise pupils’ confidence and learning. Why work for TP tutors? We are a national company so you will have access to an increased volume of tuition work. Once registered you will have a dedicated consultant who will explain how tuition works and how your journey will look with TP tutors. Face to face and online tuition options available to suit your availability with tuition available during the school day or after school. Referrals to support primary, secondary and post 16 aged students with subject specific areas. Children may be in a mainstream setting, special educational needs or alternate provision setting or without a school place and fall under the local authority awaiting a suitable school place. Bespoke online reporting platform- 24/7 access to enable you to log immediate attendance details, feedback and assessments. Online classroom platform- to enable you to deliver online tuition to students in a virtual environment. This platform offers all the tools you will require to deliver online tuition and is recorded for safeguarding purposes and for revision purposes. Hourly rate of £25- £30 which is paid weekly Access to free safeguarding and CPD courses as well as free access to assessment tools and resources. Please be aware that all applicants will be subject to background checks and will need a current DBS certificate (update service registered).
