OverviewSenior Controls Engineer - Siemens TIA Portal - Permanent - Near Warrington - £60-70k package + overtime for site work. Samuel Frank is recruiting for a Senior Controls Engineer with expert level Siemens knowledge to join a multi-site specialist Engineering firm with a base near Warrington. The successful Senior Controls Engineer will need to have recent/thorough knowledge of Siemens TIA Portal including WinCC.ResponsibilitiesExpert level Siemens TIA Portal / WinCC knowledge using STLResponsible for the system configuration, including PLC code and WinCC SCADA configurations to meet project requirements. Identifying any functionality changes to be made to core software or core PLC codeKnowledge of Hot Standby PLCs and Type R PLCsResponsible for the production of project documentation including Functional Design Specifications, Project Specific Drawings, Design Risk Assessments, Test Procedures, Operator / Maintenance manuals and Training manualsRedundant server experience would be beneficial as would any knowledge of Siemens PCS7Experience with PLC communications including PROFIBUS, Industrial Ethernet, Profinet or ModBusKnowledge of Siemens SCALENCE, MRP networks & Redundant NetworksAll applicants must be able to achieve basic level security clearance i.e. British passport and clear criminal record£70k package could be made up of a flat salary of £70k or for example, a £64k salary + car or £64k salary + car allowance depending on what your preferred option isFlexible working arrangements available once the successful Senior Controls Engineer is up and runningThe Senior Controls Engineer role will involve occasional international travel and therefore applicants should not be subject to any travel restrictionsIt's estimated the successful Senior Controls Engineer will be split between working in the office and on site to be 70/30 with 80% of all site work being based in the UKEssential experience / qualificationsQualified to least HNC level in a related subject area/courseAt least 8-10 years experience of Siemens PLCs and SCADA systemsExperience of working with all aspects of the project lifecycle from specification (URS, FDS, SDS) through to commissioning and final project documentationExperience of working on site, commissioning PLC / PC systems including software, electrical systems and associated equipmentThe client's premises are commutable from Liverpool, Manchester, Warrington, St Helens, Runcorn, Widnes, Stockport and the surrounding areas.Please apply today for an immediate response #J-18808-Ljbffr
